Finally! Brunch at Ranalli's
Ok bunch brunch, time to put Bev's tall tales of Ranalli's aside and form your own opinions of the joint. They have a brunch buffet for $11.95 (see details) or you can go for your standard breakfast items. We will meet at 10:30 sharp and have softball practice afterwards in the park.

ROKIT
Chaneg of plans---Rokit, located at 22 W. Hubbard. They open at 11AM and no reservations, so please show up on time so we can get a seat. Make a mental note of 1045AM if that helps :)
For those interested, we can trek out to the Maxwell St. Market afterwards, I think the weather should be great for a walk. See you Sun.! Bert

This is what I'm talking about http://www.alfranken.com/content/index/
I say we each throw in 5 bucks and make a contribution towards change.

Thanks!
Thanks to all again for your participation in the first philanthropic endeavor of the Brunch Bunch. Knut thanks you too. For all those interesting in learning more about Knut and his realtives, LPZ is hosting a Bear Awareness Week, during May 13–19 10:30 a.m.–2 p.m. weekdays, 10:30 a.m..–4 p.m. weekends. Activities will prompt bear lovers to walk like a black bear, and compare their heart rate to a bear’s. Sun bears will be given nesting materials to create dens, and visitors will be offered insulated mitts to feel what a polar bear feels in cold water.
Hugs. Bert

M. Henry--Oui!
I'm trying for reservations, so let me know if you are going to be able to make this week! (by Thurs, merci).
M. Henry
5707 N Clark St Chicago, IL 60660(773) 561-1600
Directions: Bus: 22 to Hollywood or #36 (about a 15 minute ride per cta trip planner)
The food is decidedly modern, with a seasonally changing globally-inflected American menu that features upscale twists on breakfast classics, as well as interesting sandwiches and salads. Breakfast items, such as the dulce banana rumba French toast, blackberry bliss cakes or fresh fruit crepes. Egg choices include the birds in a basket; served with house potatoes, these eggs are cooked inside brioche (Texas bull's-eye). Sunday brunch offers more options, with additional pancake and French toast choices, and brunch favorites like eggs benedict. Vegetarian and vegan items also available. M. Henry's bakery and market offers delicacies for those on the go.

Brunch pick
Ok guys, I know I am the only insomniac of the group, however there is a GI Jews event at 2pm that I would like to attend with Bernie. Therefore, we are meeting at Wishbone at 10:48. Still plenty of time to sleep in just might have to actually start moving before noon. http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/search/40273,0,7966850.venue
3300 N. Lincoln Ave. 773-549-4105
I've never been here for breakfast but it is consistently at the top of brunch lists for Chicago.

Get on your PJ's
First I'd like to congratulate Siiilver! for an excellent pick. Despite my apprehension at the prospect of eating brunch off of a rusty hubcap, the Twisted Spoke turned out to have not only delicious food but an elegant ambience to boot.
For my pick, I think we should get out of the Lincoln Park/Lakeview bastion of brunch spots, and go to my favorite PJ Clarke's. The best part of brunch at PJ's is before you even order: a basket of mini bagels and muffins (the warm chocolate chip is the best) and an OJ are complimentary.
I've enjoyed both their locations many times, but we're meeting at 12 pm at 302 E Illinois. It's just a block east of Michigan and a few blocks from the Grand stop on the El. http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?formtype=address&addtohistory=&address=302%20E%20Illinois%20St&city=Chicago&state=IL&zipcode=60611%2d4304&country=US&geodiff=1
